The 2009 QPSRLA State Championships were held in Cairns, The final was between the Brisbane Bulldogs and the Cairns Marlins with the Bulldogs winning. The plate final was played between the Wide Bay Crocs and the Southern Boars with the Crocs taking home the plate final.
